The Isle of Jura is easily visited taking the 5 minutes ferry from Port Askaig, and there is a ferry connection enabling a day visit to Colonsay on Wednesdays & Saturdays (or en-route to Oban). Islay has outstanding birdlife, RSPB Reserve, world famous whisky distilleries, museums and coastal scenery. There is also a later ferry at 1800 (and on some days also at 1530) which sails to either Port Askaig or Port Ellen depending on the day of the week. Enjoy 3-4 nights in Islay and Jura with a lovely choice of hotels and guest houses/B&Bs.
